Bydgoszcz
Bydgoszcz is located in Northern Poland, with a population over 350,000. The city is surrounded by Forest with two rivers, the Vistula, Brda, and a canal. There are several public gardens around the city, probably the most notable being Myslecinek which is called a leisure park.
In the city, the most notable building is the Church of St. Martin and Nicolaus, an impressive gothic construction.
The city is well known for being a national center for one of the top three sports of Poland, Speedway, several European championships, and world speedway events have been held there, and several championship riders originate from the city.
The town center is typical of Polish mid size towns and is an interesting place to take a coffee and watch the world, or a very small part of it, go by.
Unremarkable but pleasant city, not too far from Torun if you are staying there it may be worth a trip..
