Polish Language

When starting I tried many Polish Language courses, all the usual offerings such as Rosetta Stone and even private lessons didn't help me. I found the best and fastest way to start was the Pimsleur Course.

Although a full course is beyond the scope of my site, please find some useful words below, this should give you an insight as to the difficulty of the Polish Language.

I have tried more than 9 Language Courses over the last 15 years, from Private Tuition to the most expensive audio courses. There are few I can wholeheartedly recommend. This may be a reflection on my capabilities rather than the quality of the courses. The one I do find excellent is the following course.

Pimsleur language course - This is the best for individuals who want to learn quickly and need good pronunciation. The Pimsleur Method certainly works and is good value for money. The Comprehensive takes you to a level that would enable you to converse with a Pole about most everyday activities. I can recommend this course, particularly if you study alone.

Talk Now Polish - This course is not quite as advanced as Pimsleur, but far more fun, it has games a humorous approach and is fine if you want to learn sufficient for Vacations and general communication. It is ideal for a family who are learning together, the children would find the course interesting and absorbing.

If you find the phonetics very difficult or impossible then I have my own version of Polish Language Phonetics which should work for English speakers click this link Polish Phrases
